Established in 1951, the Rental Housing Association of Sacramento Valley (RHA) is a non-profit organization serving over 1,500 members of the rental housing industry within the counties of Sacramento, Yolo, Yuba, Sutter, Nevada, Placer, El Dorado and Amador.

Members of the association include rental owner and property management companies that own or manage more than 80,000 rental units, such as single-family houses, duplexes, condominiums and apartments.

RHA is affiliated with the California Apartment Association (CAA), a statewide organization based in Sacramento near the State Capitol, and the National Apartment Association (NAA), national organization with headquarters in Washington, D.C.

RHA offers THREE categories of membership:

Regular membership for rental property owners.

Property Management Company membership for management companines.

Associate membership
for businesses that provide products or services for the rental housing industry.

Regular Membership for Rental Owners & Managers


Description and Benefits: RHA provides a wide range of services for rental owners and managers, such as free property management advice; free Legal Q & A Sessions and discounts on forms, tenant screening and all RHA events; magazine subscription; and special alerts on new laws.

Membership Dues: Annual membership dues for Regular members are $199 plus $4.95 for each rental unit owned or managed. Property Management Company membership dues are $299 plus $4.95 for each rental unity owned or managed. These dues also pay for annual membership in the California Apartment Association (CAA) and National Apartment Association (NAA).

RHA offers two free seminars that provide property management training and an opportunity to learn more about membership in the association: Essentials of Rental Property Management and Pitfalls of Residential Property Management are  free informational seminars that are held several times per month in the RHA office.
 
Covering a broad range of topics regarding residential property management, these seminars are suitable for the seasoned owner/manager or an owner who is entering the rental market for the first time. Contact RHA to register for the next available seminar or check the Calendar section of this web site.

Associate Membership for Vendors of Products & Services

 

Description and Benefits: There are many benefits of Associate membership. Associates members receive a free classified listings in RHA’s magazine as well as The Green Book, the annual directory of products and services. Associate membership provides access to business development events, such as the Property Management Executive Luncheons, annual golf tournament, and The Rental Housing Exposition (RHEXpo), RHA’s annual educational conference and trade show held at the Cal Expo fairgrounds each September.

Membership Dues: Annual membership dues for Associate members are $450 These dues include membership in the California Apartment Association (CAA) and the National Apartment Association (NAA). For Associate membership information, contact Julia Freeland, RHA Director of Member Services.
